THE PUBLISHER SCHOOL
Dream Big Dreams
439 S. 6th St. Camp Verde, AZ 86322
PH. 928-567-3340 sheri@gloryboundpublishing.com
The Publisher School provides up to date, accurate training for those who are seeking answers to publishing. Glorybound Publishing was established in 2005 by Sheri Hauser in Las Vegas, Nevada. After extensive education and experience publishing over 700 books, they are opening an education program exclusively to educate book publishers.
Three areas:
The program begins in February 2023, opening up with [1]. Classes are taught live and via ZOOM [AZ Time] with a 5 student limit per class. The classes are 4 weeks with 2 hour sessions for one month. Cost is $300/class.
The most professional way to publish books is by utilizing pagination software in coordination with Photoshop. Adobe Suite includes InDesign, Photoshop, and Professional Acrobat. The classes are organized according to difficulty similar to a ski slope. The Red diamond ♦ is EASY, the Blue diamond ♦ is MODERATE, and the Black diamond ♦ is DIFFICULT. Three-hundred and four-hundred level classes have labs with parameters building certain elements of book design which need the programs for the student to build what is needed to pass the class. It is not necessary to purchase the programs because they are [usually] offered on a limited trial basis by Adobe. One-hundred and two-hundred level classes give the student a flavor of what is needed to become a professional publisher, so there is plenty of time to decide if the software needed to accomplish the three-hundred level classes is where the student desires to go. Please consult the website for further information.
Let us help you with your goals of becoming a professional publisher. We believe that if you dream big and work hard you can produce awesome books!
Operations
The Publisher School is credentialed by Glorybound Publishing and established to set the standard for publishing books in the US. The credential is based on the educational experience obtained over 20 years as Glorybound Publishing grew into the largest publishing company in Northern Arizona. It is a private school which has streamlined essential elements needed to become a professional publisher.
Each class has a study packet. The standard of excellence proof for the student is when he/she submits the Study Packet at the end of the sessions. At that time, the student will be issued a certificate of completion [for that course or combination of courses]. The class size is limited to ensure personalized instruction recognizing the subject is somewhat difficult.
The Publisher School is targeted as adult education recognizing those taking the courses are motivated by their need to obtain the knowledge indicated within each class. Therefore, the classes are offered at various times recognizing those who wish to have other responsibilities edging their schedule. A goal for the program is to offer accurate, up to date, highly compressed education related to publishing.
The classes are organized similar to college with entry-level class numbers 100, secondary level 200 and advanced classes 300 numbers. They are aligned to offer 2-hour sessions once a week for 4 weeks. There are diamonds next to the class listing which indicate the level of difficulty. They are like a ski slope. Red diamond is an easy class with no pre-requisites, blue diamond is moderate and may recommend a first level class, and black diamond classes are difficult.
Passing Requirements: Each class has requirements to receive a Certificate of Completion in the class. The Red and Blue Diamond classes have an interactive lesson plan. There is no requirement for class attendance. If the participant fills out the interactive lesson plan and returns it at the end of the class session, then he/she will receive a digital copy of a certificate of completion. Paper certified, stamped copies are available for additional cost ($75).
The Class schedule will be available on the Glorybound website with payment options.

When the individual registers for a class a ZOOM link will be sent out. A week prior to the class, the syllabus will be emailed. We recognize by experience, that ZOOM provides an excellent learning environment, and often, is more convenient to attend classes. Therefore, it is students’ preference to come to the office [Glorybound Publishing] or attend the ZOOM session.
Policies
No refunds on payment for classes. If there are circumstances that a student is unable to attend the class, he/she will receive a credit which may be used for another class or the same class in the future. To receive a credit, it must be requested in writing within two weeks of the missed class.
